Melanie is focused on several key initiatives with a primary focus on furthering TAG as a key information repository for the Georgia technology community. Her projects include the GRA/TAG Business Launch Contest, the TAG Job Board, and the State of the Industry Report: Technology in Georgia, to be released in early 2007.

Prior to joining TAG, Melanie was responsible for sales and marketing at FiberLight, an Atlanta-based fiber optics company, and the national account manager for the southeast territory for ICG Communications, a VoIP company.

In 2005 and 2006, Melanie was the president of the Atlanta Telecom Professionals (ATP), an all-volunteer non-profit industry association dedicated to providing networking opportunities, the exchange of important industry information, and the recognition of excellence within the Atlanta telecom community. She now serves as a member of the ATP Executive Advisory Board.

Melanie has a degree in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology from the University of Colorado at Boulder and is currently pursuing her MBA from the Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University.
